Tommy (dang it, missed the Bikes on Rice, this week) said they’ll be raking small pieces of driftwood so nothing heavy duty.
There is still time to donate to the Ke Akua youth group at the All Saints’ Episcopal Church who will be hosting a virtual satellite site — real name is East and North Shore Kaua‘i relay — for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life… missed the Hanapepe event that was shut down by the COVID pandemic, and are there any others coming up? Reservations are also needed to take part in the walk around the luminaria, and again, face masks and social distancing, Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. on the church’s front lawn near the labyrinth. The virtual part will be streamed live on the church’s website.
Also, today is the last day to get your Show Aloha Challenge shirt from any of the Gather Federal Credit Union branches (yes, even the one in Koloa near Eden Coffee) to extend the kupuna lunch program being supplied by Waipouli Deli and Restaurant, and Mark’s Place and delivered by the Kukulu Kumuhana O Anahola volunteers and employees from Signature Flight Support.
Mike Dandurand said there is a new food distribution service starting…too new, yet…more details coming.
