Beatriz Obiano Garcia
Beatriz Obiano Garcia, 85, of Kealia, passed away at home on Sept. 1, 2020. She was born in San Manuel, Pangasinan, Philippines, on July 27, 1935, and retired from Coco Palms as a pantry cook.
She was preceded in death by husband Graciano Garcia.
She is survived by daughter Shirley Garcia Wilkie, son Jeffrey Allan Garcia, brother Benito Obiano, five grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens &Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Alice Mililani Panui
Alice Mililani Panui of Kapa‘a passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family on Aug. 10, 2020, at the age of 83.
Born in Wai‘anae, O‘ahu, she was a retired certified nursing assistant at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by parents Isaac and Rachel Poe, husband Henry Panui Sr., brothers Isaac Poe Jr. and Del Ikalani, and sister Rachel Heath.
She is survived by daughters Anna Maria (Jesus) Valdez of Arizona, Daphane (Stephen) Panui-Shockery of Kapa‘a, sons Henry (Kerry) Panui of Kapa‘a, sons Henry (Kerry) Panui of Kapa‘a, Wayne (Naomi) Panui of Kapa‘a, 13 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Private services were held.
Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
