All voting should be done by mail
All voting should be done by mail
Voting by mail should replace voting at the polls in its entirety. The two institutions that can definitely be trusted are the county Office of the County Clerk Elections Division and U.S. Postal Service.
The money saved by eliminating the need for poll workers could be used to offer free postage on the envelopes used to vote by mail. The person voting would also have more time to consider what they are voting for and would not be confined to the hours of the polling place.
It would also prevent unwanted entry to schools and churches from anyone trying to harm someone. In addition, the voter would not be harassed by someone trying to place unsolicited campaign literature into their hand.
The additional revenue would boost the Postal Service and perhaps keep it afloat until we as a country are able to vote online.
Voting by mail would solve the registered-voter problem and guarantee safe passage of the ballots to the Elections Division. It might even prevent further spread of the virus that causes COVID-19.

I want my ballot received in person. How many packages have you lost in the mail? I have lost many. Maybe Cleveland Joe knows more, but the mail service isn’t exactly a reliable service here in Hawaii. No thanks.
Sounds good Joe, until you learn a little more about human behavior, risk of corruption, and the realities of our human condition. There is one thing we know for sure! There are a vast amount of people who will cheat, steal, lie, break the law, and do anything to control your vote! There is nothing stopping the North Koreans, Russia, China and every other horrible actor, from printing 100% identical ballots, accessing their vast stolen data bases of every American who has lived for the past 100 years and voting for them by flooding our actually bankrupt postal service offices with ballots. You can rest assured that the horribly corrupt Democrats who have been caught in every election for the past two decades cheating at inner city and other polling stations to get their candidates elected, will devalue your vote. And that has happened with what is supposed to be polling stations represented with observers from both parties! How are you going to have those representatives at every post office and in every foreign country who wishes us harm? The only way one should be able to vote is to show up at a polling station, present a valid and current ID, PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP, and casting their vote on camera in every polling station. Anything else is ripe for corruption! Especially with your Democrat idiot’s cry for mail in voting, and their dream of illegal immigrants and the dregs of our Society voting for them in droves with a promise of free everything for everyone!
Looky there, a major premise statement (“… caught in every election for the past two decades cheating…”) without the tiniest, teensie weensie bit of evidence or reference. Just like everything your Idiot for a President has ever said! You’ve learned well Grasshopper!
No, we should not vote by mail in this election on a national scale. Voting is an “essential job” wear a mask. Wash your hands. Place your vote and go home if it’s such a concern. If you can go to a Costco or Walmart and shop. You can certainly vote in safety. High risk people should use absentee ballots anyways. I can’t be the only one to think using a mail in voter system for the first time on a large scale should atleast be tested??? C’mon man!!

Re: “Ugggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh”
One of the most disturbing facts about our capitalist nation is the
misappropriation of funds directed to the salaries of entertainers.
Everyone should agree that the value an athlete, movie star, talk-show host,
team-owner, etcetera brings to the average citizen is very small. Granted,
they do offer a minuscule of diversion from our daily trials and
tribulations as did the jesters in the king’s court during the middle ages.
But to allow these entertainers to horde such great amounts of wealth at the
expense of more benevolent societal programs is unacceptable.
They do not provide a product or a service so why are they rewarded as such?
Our society is also subjected to the “profound wisdom” of these people
because it equates wealth with influence. Perhaps a solution to this
problem and a alternative to defeated school levies, crumbling
infrastructures, as well as all the programs established to help feed,
clothe and shelter those who cannot help themselves would be to tax this
undeserved wealth. Entertainers could keep 1% of the gross earnings reaped
from their endeavor and 99% could be deposited into the public coffers.
The old ideas of the redistribution of wealth have failed, and it is time to
adapt to modern-day preferences. People put their money into entertainment
above everything else; isn’t it time to tap that wealth? Does anyone think
this will reduce the quality of entertainment? It seems to me that when
entertainers received less income, the quality was much higher.

Joe, Two words. “Voter fraud.” It is real. There is evidence. That is why most sane, intelligent people demand Voter ID.
Show the statistics and sources of the data, please
Let’s see the evidence! C’mon man, I double dare you to present it!
Hahaha, Pistol Pete, you sound like Sleepy Joe Biden! “C’mon man, I was told you like me!”
Does this mean hutch is volunteering to provide evidence??
That was deliberate.
Thanks for noticing!
As a registered voter in the state of WA. we have been voting this way for years, without any glitches, in fact, POTUS was invited by our republican Secretary of State, Kim Wyman, to visit our state and learn how we have been successfully voting by mail for many years. Do you think the POTUS would want to know more about how successful mail in voting is accomplished?
Drew, Seattle WA.
You have a failed state. Your mayor, governor, and DA should be impeached and tried for treason, aiding and abetting a criminal enterprise, and held responsible for the lack of leadership leading to violent riots, arson, assaults and murders that have taken place.
Oh, dang, he’s right. Voting like that is OK and works well. Better overstate all of the other things I have problems with and make people angry in a different direction!
Drew,
How do you KNOW your system is “successful”? The Democrat or liberal issue always wins?
OK, I’ll bite. What are YOUR guidelines for a successful election via mail? How does the WA system fail at it?
While popularly repeated, the concept of “voter fraud” has not had a reliable basis in fact. People have used absentee ballots for years; and some states vote entirely by mail already. Still, there appears to be no history of widespread fraud, prosecuted by any of the nation’s fifty Attorneys General. It is hard to believe that both Republican and Democrat AGs would simply ignore such fraud. A more mundane reason to support the option of voting by mail is that November can produce extremely harsh weather in the northern states. Standing in line for an hour or more in Kauai is not the same as standing in line for an equal time in Michigan, Montana, Minnesota, or New York.
