Jesse Quidachay Santiago
Jesse Quidachay Santiago, 50, of Lihue, and formerly of Umatac, Guam, passed away on Aug. 22, 2020. He was born in Umatac, Guam on Oct. 15, 1969, and was employed as a ground crew member with Safari Helicopters.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents Carmen Quidachay Santiago and Joaquin Aguon Aquiningoc.
Jesse is survived by his two sons Jesse James “JJ” and Jared Dominic Baza, sister and brother-in-law Robert and Cynthia Rabina Houck and a large extended family in Guam.
An intimate celebration of his life will be held on Sept. 19, 2020, at 4232 A Malae Street in Lihu‘e.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens &Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Rita Unpingco Houck
Rita Unpingco Houck, 81, of Lihue, formerly of Barrigada, Guam, passed away on Aug. 22, 2020. She was born in Guam on Feb. 9, 1939, and retired from the Department of the Navy, Human Resources.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents Jesus Aguon Unpingco and Maria Garrido Unpingco, husband LeRoy Dean Houck, brothers Antonio, Vicente, Carlos, and Jesus Unpingco, and sisters-in-law Dolores and Darlene Unpingco.
Rita is survived by her children Antonio “Tony” (Cindy) Houck of Houston, Texas, Robert (Cynthia Rabina) Houck of Lihue, Anna Maria “Pinky” (Kevin) Warford of Port Orchard, Washington; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, siblings Juan of Marina, California, Francisco of Barrigada, Guam, Jose and Lorraine Unpingco of Barrigada, Guam, Felisa Unpingco of Victorville, California, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
An intimate celebration of her life will be held on Sept. 19, 2020, at 4232 Malae St. in Lihu‘e. Her remains will be interred with those of her husband LeRoy at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, Washington, on a future date to be determined.

Mildred ‘Milly’ Johnson
Mildred “Milly” Johnson of Hanalei, passed away at Wilcox Hospital, at the age of 87, on Aug. 15, 2020. Born in Wisconsin on July 28, 1933, she worked as a registered nurse at Wilcox Hospital and was a gifted chef and restaurateur.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents John and Kate Bratonavitch, husband Richard C. (Red) Johnson.
Mildred is survived by her sons Eric (Mya) Johnson, Rich (Franny) Johnson, daughters Rebecca Johnson and Cynthia Johnson, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
