PUHI — Hawthorne Cat, the exclusive Cat equipment dealer in San Diego, the Hawaiian Islands and the Pacific region, announced the opening of the company’s newest location on Kaua‘i.
Construction on the Hawthorne Lihu‘e branch was completed earlier this month and is now open for business in the Puhi Industrial Park.
“With our new facility, we’ll have overhead crane capability. We’ll also have a hydraulic bench to perform hydraulic cylinder work on-island,” said Bobby Whitworth, Hawai‘i general manager.
“Previously, hydraulic cylinders were sent to O‘ahu to be repaired or resealed. Kaua‘i builders will enjoy a lot quicker up-time due to the new facility.”
The dealer also specializes in power equipment, and provides parts and service, training and emission solutions to various industries including general building construction, landscaping, marine, paving and power generation.
Technical support and a service team are available at the new business.
Hawthorne Cat now has five locations in Hawai‘i.
The Puhi facility’s hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays.
