Reynaldo Rosale Palacio
Reynaldo Rosale Palacio passed away on July 13, 2020, at the age of 74 in Eleele. He was born on April 28, 1946, in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He was a Cut Seed Field Worker with McBryde Plantation and retired as a Carpentry/Handyman for Waimea Plantation Cottages.
Reynaldo was preceded in death by his parents Federico and Elizabeth Palacio, wife Nenita Palacio, daughter Rosenda Palacio, son Noel Palacio, half sisters Florentina Gaoiran, Carmelita Patriciom Shirleen Badgley, S. Kuulei Aloha Mina and Lois Palacio.
Reynaldo is survived by his sons Remigio “Rem” Palacio of Eleele, Rogelio “Roger” (Ann) Palacio of San Antonio, Texas, daughters Erlinda “Lynn” Ramos of Eleele, daughter-in-law Cathrine Palacio of Oahu, mother Lapaz Rosales Palacio, 16 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, mother Lapaz Rosales Palacio, half brothers Onofre (Edna) R. Menor of Eleele, Alfredo R. Menor of the Philippines, Aurelio (Claudia) Mina, Jr. of Pahoa, Vincent Palacio of Kalaheo, Benjamin (Nani) Palacio of San Antonio, Texas, Valentino (Kathi) Palacio of Oahu, Edwin (Natalie) Palacio of Hilo, half sisters Donna (Richard) Lau-Laranio of Kalaheo and Flora (Al) Tomas of Eleele.

Gladys Shizue Horner
Gladys Shizue Horner passed away on Aug. 6, 2020, at the age of 91, at Wilcox Hospital. She was born on Dec. 24 1928, in Honolulu. She was in Retail Sales.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Edward Horner, Sr. and son Edward Horner, Jr.
She is survived by her sons Darrell Horner (Nadine) of Lihue, Clayton Horner (Myra) of Kalaheo, daughters Ann Horner (Tony Bronco) of Kapaa, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A walk-through visitation will take place at Garden Island Mortuary on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2020, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Family suggests casual attire. Due to COVID-19, social distancing and mask required.

Raymond W. Smith
Raymond “Ray” W. Smith, 69, of Lihue, passed away peacefully at home on July 28, 2020. He was born on March 13, 1951, in Rockledge, Florida. He was a self-employed electrician and the owner of Ray Smith Electric. He retired in 2015.
Ray was preceded in death by his father Raymond Smith and father-in-law Steven Victorino.
Ray is survived by his wife Donna, son Ray Smith of Charleston, South Carolina, daughter Heather (Doug) Jarrett of Asheville, North Carolina, 4 grandchildren, mother Shirley Smith of Forest City, Florida, sisters Sandy (Austin) Regal of Apopka, Florida; and Jan Casteel of Altamonte Springs, Florida, mother-in-law Julie Victorino of Lihue, sister-in-law Tammi Marchant of Wailua, numerous nieces and nephews.
To honor Ray’s request, private services were held.
Kauai Memorial Gardens assisted with the arrangements.
Kevin Kapuniai Kaiakapu
Kevin Kapuniai Kaiakapu passed away on Aug. 9, 2020, at home in Eleele, at the age of 50. He was born on Aug. 16, 1969, in Waimea.
Kevin is survived by his daughters Iliana Kaiakapu-Manoi of Hanapepe, Mehana Kaiakapu-Manoi of Hanapepe, parents Elvin and Linda Kaiakapu, brothers Thomas (Patty) Kaiakapu of Hanapepe, Jed (Gayle) Kaiakapu of Eleele, sisters Momi (Mikey) Kaiakapu-Lanning of Hanapepe, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services will be held at a later date. The family requests no flowers.

Allan Beralas
Allan Beralas, 72, of Lihue, passed away at home on Aug, 1, 2020. He was born in Lihue, on Feb. 15, 1948, served as infantry in the Vietnam War and was an avid fisherman.
Allan is preceded in death by his parents Alfonso B. and Juliana E. Beralas and brother Clayton Beralas.
He is survived by his daughter Maelani L. Beralas, son Dillon K. Beralas, sisters Ginger (Hank) Soboleski, Yolanda C. (Dennis) Yacavone, Debbie (Frenchie) Degracia, brother Ronald Beralas; 1 grandson, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services will be held at a later date.
