Dolores ‘Dolly’ Gabriel Mandap
Dolores “Dolly” Gabriel Mandap, 84, of Mililani peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 5, 2020.
She was a mainstay in the hospitality and restaurant industries for 25+ years. Her beautiful smile and heart of aloha always made patrons- locals and visitors alike – feel so welcomed. Everywhere she went, she made fast friends. After retiring, she became an active member of her church – she cooked, cleaned, worked at carnivals, supported fundraisers, etc. However, of her many roles and accomplishments, she was most proud of being a devoted mother to her six children and a loving grandmother to her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. All of whom miss her more than words can say.
She was preceded in death by her father Felix Gabriel, mother Timotea Deboma, son Aaron Gabriel Cummings, and grandchildren Ka‘iulani Cummings; Kyle, Pa‘ana‘akala and Shiloh Aiu.
She is survived by husband Robert (“Bob”), sons Abraham (Carol) Cummings and Willie Cummings, daughters Rinda (Kappy) Aiu, Mamo (Max) Cummings Graham, and Koki Cummings, grandchildren Gabriel, Kanoe, Dee Dee, Kawailele, Michael, Dan, Tim, Angel, Daron, Ka‘ili, Momi, Luke and Hunter; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and one great, great-grandchild.
A Private Mass will be held.

Margie Tsuyono Omuro
Margie Tsuyono Omuro, 96, of Keaau, died July 22 at a private care home in Hilo. Born in Wailuku, she was a retired secretary for the ILWU and a member of the Taishoji Soto Mission.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenji Omuro.
Margie is survived by daughter Naomi (Ernest) Tamashiro of Kapaa, son Alan (Ann) Omuro of Hilo, grandchildren Paul (Charlene) Tamashiro of Redondo Beach, California, Jaime (Keisaku) Yogi of San Diego, California; four great-grandsons.
Private services held. Family requests no flowers and no koden (monetary gifts).

Elsie M. Dusenberry Nishi Garcia passed away on Aug. 8, 2020, at the age of 77, in Hanapepe. She was born on March 19, 1943, in Waimea. She was a Legal Assistant.
She was preceded in death by grandson Freeman Nishi-Ramos, husband Tatsuo Nishi, son Matthew Iwatate, husband Harvey Garcia
She is survived by her sons Richard Iwatate, Nikola Nishi, Sr. (Claudia), Pete Nishi (Cheri), daughters Donna Richards (Mark), Ama Nishi (Mouad) and Marcella Malchow (Eric), grandchildren Brandon, Logan, Nohokai, Ariel, Jeneya, Nikola, Jr., Princess, Chet, Jr., Adam, Xena, Christopher, Jasmine, Sara, Landon, Chandler, Shalayah, Tyler, Liam and Alexandria, 1 great-grandchild, brothers Carl W. Dusenberry, Jr. (Maureen) and Franklin D, Dusenberry, Sr. (Linda) and by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Reynaldo Rosales Palacio
Reynaldo Rosales Palacio passed away on July 13, 2020, in Eleele, at the age of 74. He was born on April 28, 1946, in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He was a cut seed field worker for McBryde Plantation and retired as a Carpentry/Handyman for Waimea Plantation Cottage.
He was preceded in death by his parents Federico and Elizabeth Palacio, wife Nenita Palacio, daughter Rosenda Palacio, son Noel Palacio, half sisters Florentino Gaoiran, Carmelita Patricio, Shirleen Badgley, S. Kuulei Aloha Mina and Lois Palacio.

Betty S. Kobayashi passed away on July 6, 2020, at the age of 100, at Garden Isle Health Care. She was born on March 29, 1920 in Honolulu. She was the Vice President for Kauai Office Equipment.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Kobayashi and daughter Cindy Kobayashi.
She is survived by her son Bruce Kobayashi (Sonya) of Lihue, grandchildren Lisa Kobayashi and David Kobayashi.

Lysander Nacnac
Lysander Nacnac passed away on Aug. 9, 2020, at the age of 85 in Waimea. He was born on June 15, 1935, in the Philippines. He was a Field Laborer.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alejo and Isabelle Nacnac, siblings Eugenio Nacnac, Sr. (Lucena) and Priscilla Andres (Faustino).
He is survived by his wife Nenita Nacnac, sons Lenito Nacnac of Eleele, Joel Nacnac (Dina) of Pearl City, daughter Magie Nacnac (Rodney) of Lihue, grandchildren Kiana Nacnac-Alisna, Konner Raposas-Nacnac, Taylor Nacnac-Alisna, Jaydi Nacnac, Desiree Nacnac, sisters Tranquilina Alejandro of Koloa, Nely Macadang of the Philippines, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Raymond W. Smith
Raymond “Ray” W. Smith, 69, of Lihue, passed away peacefully at home on July 28, 2020. He was born on March 13, 1951, in Rockledge, Florida. He was a self-employed electrician and the owner of Ray Smith Electric. He retired in 2015.
He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Smith and father-in-law Steven Victorino.
Ray is survived by his wife Donna, son Ray Smith of Charleston, South Carolina, daughter Heather (Doug) Jarrett of Asheville, North Carolina; four grand children; mother Shirley Smith of Forest City, Florida; sisters Sandy (Austin) Regal of Apopka, Florida; Jan Casteel of Altamonte Springs, Florida; mother-in-law Julie Victorino of Lihue; sister-in-law Tammi Marchant of Wailua; numerous nieces and nephews.
To honor Ray’s request, private services were held.
