KAPA‘A – Firefighters rescued an injured hiker in Kapa‘a on Sunday.
At approximately 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, fire fighters received a call of an injured hiker who fell near Ho‘opi‘i Falls in Kapa‘a.
At approximately 12:25 p.m., Rescue 3 aboard Air 1 and personnel with the Kaiakea fire station arrived on scene and found an injured 35-year-old male resident.
The hiker was airlifted and later dropped off at Kapahi Park to awaiting medical and fire personnel.
The scene was cleared at approximately 2 p.m.
