KAPA‘A — A man last seen Thursday was found dehydrated and in need of medical attention Monday morning, his son, Akyuna Akish said in a call Monday.
Nicholas Whittingham, 60, was found in Kapa‘a around 10:45 a.m., the Kaua‘i Police Department confirmed.
Akish said his father, a local artist and musician known as Omashar Zenith, booked a suite at the Plantation Hale Suites in Kapa‘a on July 1 through the weekend.
“The hotel manager said they think he just booked the hotel for three days, stayed one day, filled the fridge with food, then wandered off leaving a credit card and his room keys behind,” Akish wrote to The Garden Island on Sunday.
Whittingham was last seen on July 2 behind Waipouli Beach Resort, according to a KPD press release.
Whittingham was reported missing to KPD in the late afternoon on Saturday, July 4.
