LIHU‘E — A panel of experts is taking on the topic of COVID-19 in an online meeting Thursday, hosted by the Lihu‘e Business Association.
Set from 8 to 9 a.m., the meeting is entitled “COVID-19: the Past, Present, Preparations and Promise,” and combines perspectives from medical experts and state officials.
Panelists include:
Dr. Janet Berreman, Kauai District Health officer, who will focus on the public health perspective and successful collaborations with county government and others, as well as strategies for keeping the community healthy as we work to return the island to prosperity.
Jen Chahanovich, president and chief executive officer of Wilcox Medical Center, chief executive officer of Kauai Medical Clinic will explain the hospital’s capabilities in equipment, staffing, outreach and planning for another possible viral wave.
Dr. Neil Clendeninn, has experience with working with others on a treatment protocol will discuss different approaches being explored to develop COVID-19 treatments.
