LIHU‘E — Kaua‘i Senior Softball practices have been underway since the league received the green light from the County of Kaua‘i to return to the fields following the parks’ closure and play suspended due to COVID-19 concerns about health and safety.
According to a schedule obtained from one of the league players, play is anticipated to resume, Saturday with five more weekends remaining in the league’s first round. The state tournament was scheduled to be hosted on Kaua‘i, but that event was cancelled due to the pandemic. Instead, the league intends to complete the second round that starts on July 25 and runs each weekend through October 10.
