Happy Nature Photography Day.
Happy Nature Photography Day.
Brian Atendido (and Mike Teruya) don’t need just June 15 to live the occasion. Brian got his bird fight Saturday when someone dropped a rice ball in the front lawn of his neighbor, attracting a mess of birds, including doves, mynah birds, red-crested cardinals, sparrows (and what else?).
Jim Feagans (he’s still trying to get back to Kaua‘i from Japan) has been lucky enough to be visited by the Kiji green pheasant, and Dustin Plank (what? Only 66 degrees high temperature in Ohio?) lost a bunch of his Sago palms to the winter. Oh well, he’s already booked his Maui trip for this year.
Back at home, the Grove Farm maintenance people (nope, not Lenny Rapozo and the ditchmen) mowed the back section of Grove Farm’s park, attracting a mess of cattle egrets, to the delight of keiki at Puhi Park Produce, where Marty Amaro scored some lilikoi scones from Hanalima Bakery, and Laurie Ho said she and Bill Spitz need to check out The Shops at Kukui‘ula (Stacie Chiba Miguel had her family in tow, too) pop-up market Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m.
Bill Arakaki had his family in tow (strawberry lemonade Ono Pops, and strawberry ???, Greg Askew), and have you checked out those Fred Javellana ears of corn?
