Things are beginning to get back to normal as Ron Wood of FM97 needs to talk about the “A” word because there are a lot more metal horse paniolo out there, and Jeannie Odo, Judy Cano (congratulations on the engagement of her son — how many of you remember that Waimea High School tennis player?), and Melissa McFerrin-Warrack (dinner was at Genki Sushi because the mayor’s emergency rule 11 allowing in-restaurant dining took effect Monday) are already talking Back to School Bash (save the date — July 18) that will take on a whole new look because of all the rules.
Kenn Firestone of Premier Martial Arts at Kukui Grove Center also took advantage of the latest mayoral rule to reopen the “gym” to limited workouts, in-person (Melissa said they’re registering people for summer classes — both virtual or in-person with face masks and social distancing. Still can’t figure out how they did 150 board-breaking all at once.
Dwight Fujii said the Lihu‘e A’s senior softball team will also resume practice Thursday afternoon at Isenberg Park, while Paul Curtis of ‘Ohana took advantage of his day off to start senior softball practice Monday at ‘Ele‘ele Park. Games resume when?
