Rescuers responding to reports of a pickup going off the cliff near Sugi Grove
KOKEE — According to a preliminary report, KFD responded to a report of a pickup truck having gone over a cliff near Sugi Grove in Kokeʻe at about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday evening. Rescue 3 aboard Air 1 responded to assess the situation. At about 6 a.m. Wednesday morning, a county of Kauai spokesperson said responders located the vehicle and no occupants inside. The vehicle owner is working with a towing company to tow the vehicle. As of Wednesday morning, those involved are unsure how the vehicle ended up over the edge of the cliff. Investigation is ongoing. Updates will given when more info becomes available.
