KAPA‘A — The County of Kaua‘i Office of Economic Development is announcing the reopening of the Hanapepe and Kapa‘a Sunshine Markets.
KAPA‘A — The County of Kaua‘i Office of Economic Development is announcing the reopening of the Hanapepe and Kapa‘a Sunshine Markets.
“As the County of Kaua‘i begins to reopen the economy, we will pilot the reopening of two of our Sunshine Markets in Hanapepe and Kapa‘a,” said Nalani Brun, director of the Office of Economic Development. “Signs will be posted at each market to inform shoppers of proper COVID-19 safety guidelines, and volunteers will also be present to ensure social distancing measures are followed.”
• On Thursday, May 14, the Hanapepe Sunshine Market, located behind the Hanapepe Fire Station, will be open from 2 p.m. – or until all produce is sold, and no later than 4 p.m.
• On Monday, May 18, the Kapa‘a Sunshine Market, will be located at Kapa‘a Beach Park, and will be open from 2 p.m. – or until all produce is sold, and no later than 5 p.m.
The Office of Economic Development will announce openings of other Sunshine Market throughout the island in the near future.
