LIHU‘E — Wilcox Medical Center will be changing weekend hours of operations for the drive-up specimen collection for COVID-19 testing to 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Starting Saturday, May 9.
This change only effects the drive-up specimen collection site and Wilcox Medical Center and only on the weekends. Weekday hours remain the same.
Wilcox Medical Center provides physician referred drive-up specimen collection for COVID-19 testing at its rear entrance weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Pediatric Specimen Collection is available at Wilcox Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Kaua‘i Medical Clinic Kapa‘a offers specimen collection for COVID-19 testing Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Patients will need a physician order for the test, a valid form of identification and an insurance card.
• Clinical Labs is handling the actual testing, including billing, which they will manage directly with patients, including those who do not have insurance.
• Turnaround time for the results from commercial labs is currently about 4 days.
• Patients should self-quarantine until their test results come back.
