More kudos to Pastor Nathan Grosse of the Kaua‘i Baptist Church for distributing the 200 free pizzas from Domino’s (kudos to Domino’s for kicking in an extra 100 pies to match the church’s original 100) that created a line opposite the grab-and-go meals being distributed at Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School across Nuhou Street.
Tina Albao is still flying from the food giveaway partnering with Wes Perreira and the Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i branch that took place at all three Boys &Girls Club sites on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
And food wasn’t the only thing going out, as Bob Gunter (he’s a Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce COVID-19 Champion, too) of the Koloa Rum Company brought over 1,750 bottles of hand sanitizers that were distributed free to kupuna (mahalo, Gather Federal Credit Union, for the bonus reusable shopping bags that went out with the sanitizers) through the efforts of the different Lions Clubs of Kaua‘i, whose members waited at the KIFB Nawiliwili warehouse for Bob’s delivery.
