Those with of very-low-income tax credits need not reapply

LIHU‘E — The county Department of Finance Real Property Assessment Division announced that it will not require taxpayers whose 2020 assessment included the Additional Home Exemption Relating to Owner-Occupants’ Income or Very Low Income Tax Credit for the 2020 tax year to re-apply for the 2021 tax year.

The Real Property Assessment Division will use the submitted prior year income-tax information from the current approved applicants.

Qualified individuals who do not have a current Additional Home Exemption Relating to Owner-Occupants’ Income or Very Low Income Tax Credit will need to submit a 2021 application prior to Sept. 30.
