Arlene Leona Kuapahi
Arlene Leona Kuapahi passed away in Pahoa, Hawaii, on Feb. 27, 2020, at the age of 75. She was born on June 23 1944, in Waimea.
She was preceded in death by Leialoha Kuapahi, Sr., Dana Kaupahi, Kiyono Hookano, Manuel Huddy Furtado, Kaipo Hookano, Lani Furtado, Maryann Nitta and Gilbert Furtado.
She is survived by sons, Leialoha “Bufa” Kuapahi, Jr. (Amy) of Seattle, Washington.
Oric Kuapahi (Katherine) of Waimea, Kaua‘i and Hilo, Klaine Kuapahi (Sonya) of Waimea, Ivan Kuapahi (Monica) of Tuscon, Arizona, Bully Koani (Dez) of Oahu, Kapu Koani of Oahu, Nephi Gonzales of Oahu; daughters, Wai Kuapahi (Alby) of Waimea, Keala Werner of Hanapepe, Leona Fragas (Harlen) of Hilo, Napua Koani of Oahu; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Leiala Hookano of Oahu, Keiko Furtado of Henderson, Nevada; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Service to be held at a later date.
Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Bernadine N. Silva
Bernadine N. Silva, 65, of Kapaa, passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on March 19, 2020. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on Dec. 27, 1954.
She is preceded in death by her father Adam Silva; brother Adam Patrick Silva.
Bernadine is survived by her son Adam Kaai; daughter Nacole Kaai; mother Lois Silva; brother Harley Silva and 5 grandchildren.

Kenzo Kawamoto
Kenzo Kawamoto, 100, of Kapaa, passed away at home on Feb. 9, 2020. He was born in Kapuna, Kaua‘i, on Jan. 2, 1920, and worked as a Journeyman Carpenter for Kauai Builders.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sumiko Kawamoto; sisters, Masano Takahashi, Sumiko Kawamoto; brothers, Yukimi, Masaru and Kazuma Kawamoto.
Kenzo is survived by his daughters, Charleen (Rodney) Mukai, Joyce (Dennis) Kanetake; son Edwin Kawamoto; sister Loretta Yamaguchi; brother Raymond Kawamoto; grandchildren, Kristin Mukai, Corey Kanetake, Brittney (Bryan) Fujiwara; numerous nieces and nephews.
Private Services were held.
