Tina Albao, the Boys &Girls Club Kaua‘i director, said she’s making the arrangements for computers and other needed connections so Tavia can meet the judges from her home where she will be safe and sound.
More kudos to Divina Plowman, the Kaua‘i High School student activities coordinator, Alana Cayabyab, Jacie Ogata and Mikaela Corpuz of the student government for putting together the virtual prom Saturday, where prom-goers were encouraged to dress in their finery and participate in a Hoss Elections contest where students voted for best dress, best suit, best makeup, best overall theme, and more using the Kaua‘i High School Instagram and Facebook platforms on the night the Red Raiders were supposed to have their scheduled prom before COVID-19 showed up.
Finally, this is your last chance for some Kukui Grove Cinema snack-shop goodies because, according to their website, the snack shop will be open Monday and Tuesday from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. for to-go items before they close for the last time after 35 years Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. Thank you, Matt and Marlene Blair, for 35 years of memories.
