Renee Lippmann
Renee Lippmann, 74, of Kapa‘a, passed away at home on March 26, 2020. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, and retired from YWCA of Kaua‘i.
She is survived by brother Laurence Lippman and his wife Susan, niece Elaine Lippman, husband Doug Heifitz, great nephew Judah and great niece Dalya.
Private services were held.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens &Funeral Home assisted the family with cremation services.
Anthony Nuivo
Anthony Nuivo, 86, of California, formerly of Kaua‘i, passed away on Feb. 12, 2020. He was born in Lihu‘e on Feb. 15, 1933, and retired from Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
He was preceded in death by wife Ruby “Terry” Nuivo, parents Benito and Eugenia Nuivo; brothers Francisco Nuivo, Marcario Nuivo and Paustino Nuivo, and sister Natividad Nuivo Arato
He is survived by daughter Mary (Hykeem) Jordan of California, son Anthony Lee “Tony” Nuivo of Lihu‘e, granddaughters Victoria Fung of California and Scarlett Nuivo of Lihu‘e, sister Soledad Nuivo Cui of Florida, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life has been postponed till further notice.
Alta Vista Cremation and Funeral Service of Suisun City, California, and Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens &Funeral Home are assisting the family with arrangements.
Hiroko Wakumoto
Hiroko Wakumoto passed away in Lihu‘e on Feb. 14, 2020, at the age of 86. She was born on April 20, 1933, in Hiroshima, Japan. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by daughters Elaine Keiko Wakumoto and Annette Naomi Wakumoto, brothers Tadayuko Saiki and Toshio Saiki, and sisters Tsuyuko Saiki, Fumiko Saiki and Setsuko Saiki, all of Japan.
She is survived by husband Mitsuo Wakumoto, sons Sandy Wakumoto of Kapa‘a and Ricky Wakumoto of Kapa‘a, daughters Ellen (Dave) Sugai of Honolulu and Patricia (Wesley) Sugai of Kailua-Kona, and grandchildren Nicole Kimiko Sugai, Reid Akira Sugai, Christopher Kenji Sugai and Cody Lee Akihiro Sugai, sister Katsuko Saiki of Japan, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services were held.
Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Satsuki Kodani
Satsuki Kodani passed away in Lihu‘e, on March 5, 2020, at the age of 96. She was born on May 25, 1923 in Anahola. She was retired.
She was preceded in death by husband Toshimi Kodani, son Gary I. Kodani, and parents Fukujiro and Kise Nishisaka.
She is survived by son Clyde T. (Helena) Kodani of Kapa‘a, daughter Aileen (Wayne) Nakai of Lihu‘e, grandchildren Donna Chong, Tamara Nakai, Stuart Nakai, Denise Karratti, Laurie Yamamoto, Caroline Kopesky, Stephanie Ortiz-Sanchez, Stacey Lee, Christopher Lary and Casey Mirick, 16 great-grandchildren, sister Sumiye Takaki of Na‘alehu, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at a later date. The family requests no koden (monetary gifts).

Christopher Kimo Asuncion
Christopher Kimo Asuncion passed away in Lihu‘e on Feb. 23, 2020, at the age of 44. He was born on July 4, 1970, in Lihu‘e. He was a rental service attendant.
He was preceded in death by parents Sergio and Mildred M. Asuncion, and brother Harold A. Asuncion.
He is survived by daughter Lindsey Asuncion of Hawai‘i Island, brothers Sergio T. Asuncion of Kapa‘a, Roland D. Asuncion of Boulder City, Nevada, and Bernard D. Asuncion of Oahu, sisters Lee Ann Watanabe of Kapa‘a, Carolyn J. Asuncion of Kapa‘a and Priscilla J. Asuncion of Mexico, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services were held. The family requests no monetary gifts.
