Thank You for Being A Friend was the theme of the Kaua‘i Animal Welfare Society fundraising event that was held March 14 at the Kaua‘i Beach Resort near Hanama‘ulu.
It was one of a few scheduled events that actually took place, as COVID-19 fears canceled most other events.
Guests were treated to a buffet dinner with music provided by Gypsy Spice with performers from Soul Fire Productions, including Ne’keya Gusman, enhancing the spice of the night.
The silent auction beckoned people from all corners of the room, and activity stations offered prizes for some participants. The evening was highlighted by the costume contest with “Famous Best Friends” as its theme and after-dinner dancing until closing.
The Kaua‘i Animal Welfare Society believes every animal on Kaua‘i deserves a safe and nurturing home.
