LIHUE Allan A. Smith, Dee Crowell and Jim Mayfield were returned to their seats on the Kauai Island Utility Board Saturday afternoon after receiving the most votes in the election that ended Saturday.
LIHU‘E — Allan A. Smith, Dee Crowell and Jim Mayfield were returned to their seats on the Kaua‘i Island Utility Board Saturday afternoon after receiving the most votes in the election that ended Saturday.
Merriman River Group, a Connecticut-based, election-management firm that conducted the election, submitted the results from the election where 26,350 ballots were mailed to KIUC members.
Smith earned the greatest number of votes at 3,448 from the 4,681 responses, states a release from KIUC. Crowell followed with 3,205 votes, and Mayfield received 2,989 votes. Steve Parsons, the fourth candidate, finished with 1,844 votes.
Smith, Crowell and Mayfield return to the KIUC board to each serve three-year terms ending March, 2023.
