DOCARE officers enforce the rules on state land, including fishing and hunting laws in wilderness areas of Kaua‘i.
In the fourth quarter of 2019, DOCARE officers cited 14 people on Kaua‘i for fishing and net violations. DOCARE reminds everyone to follow the rules and practice pono fishing.

these are probably people just trying to get their dinner…. I would like to hear about the agricultural land companies and any violations for herbicide or other chemical use. Does DOCARE monitor them…. that is of more concern to Kauai people
these folks were most likely just trying to find food to eat…. I want to know if DOCARE looks for person damaging our lands- such as person/companies spraying agricultural chemicals – without permits
