The bureau is hiring thousands of workers for temporary jobs available on every island in advance of the 2020 Census.
The 2020 Census jobs website is now accepting applications for census takers in Hawai‘i.
Census takers will interview household residents and update address lists. Applicants who are hired will attend paid training before beginning work.
Applicants will be placed in an applicant pool for 2020 Census positions in which they qualify for as jobs become available in their areas.
