Warren C. Stine
Warren C. Stine, of Kalaheo, passed away on Feb. 10, 2020, at the age of 98.
Born on Jan. 29, 1922, in Newport Beach, California he was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran and a volunteer at National Tropical Botanical Garden.
He was preceded in death by wife Carrie S. Stine, and son Bob J. Stine.
He is survived by son Tom W. Stine.
His celebration of life is private.

Yoshiko Hayashi
Yoshiko Hayashi, 100, of Lihu‘e, passed away at Garden Isle Health Care on Feb. 6, 2020. She was born in California on May 15, 1919, and retired as a seamstress with Kay O’ Kauai.
She was preceded in death by husband Yukuma Hayashi.
She is survived by son Glenn Hayashi, daughter Marlan (David) Hayashi, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Private services were held.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Jason Kunane ‘Gooba’ Aquino
Jason Kunane “Gooba” Aquino of Kekaha passed away on Feb. 6, 2020, at the age of 46.
Born on June 6, 1973 in Waimea, he was a crew leader with Syngenta.
He was preceded in death by father Alejandro “Sonny” Aquino, and son Moses Aquino,
He is survived by mother Karin Aquino of Kekaha, wife Jerowina Aquino, daughters Ashley Agor of Washington, Jaslin Aquino, Shania Aquino, Naomi Vidinha and Pfeiffer Aquino, all of Kekaha, and Martina Aquino of Montana, sons Wyatt Aquino and Waylon Aquino of Kekaha, brother James (Sandra) Aquino of San Diego, and sister Stacy (Joey) Aquino Bagain of Kekaha, and grandson Hunter Aquino-Ortiz (deceased).
A celebration of life is Saturday, March 14, at Kings Chapel in ‘Ele‘ele, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Victor Pa‘ia Kawailoa ‘Elevator Man’ Pila
Victor Pa‘ia Kawailoa “Elevator Man” Pila of Kapa‘a passed away on Feb. 16, 2020, at the age of 75.
Born on June 19, 1944 in Honolulu, he was a Vietnam Air Force veteran, then retired as an elevator mechanic.
He was preceded in death by parents Moses and Mary Pila.
He is survived by wife Beatrice Pila, sons Jonathan Pila and Chad (Yvonne) Pila, and three grandchildren.
The celebration of life will be private.
