Delfin ‘Del’ Noel Gandia
Delfin “Del” Noel Gandia, 65, of Waipahu, went home to the Lord on Jan. 22, 2020. The fourth child of the late Orpiano and Loretta Nelmida Gandia of Hanama‘ulu was born on
Dec. 24, 1954, in Lihu‘e. He retired as a food-service representative.
He is survived by wife Janice (Sugino) Gandia, daughter Dayna K.H. Jones of Florida, son
Jared A. Gandia of Waipahu, granddaughter Bryana Yuriko Onalani Jones, grandson Henry Kekoa Jones, sisters and brothers Pam (Greg) Sokei, Gay Ann Gandia, Gabriel (Gayanne) Gandia Sr., Emily (Bo) Fabro and Dalton (Cheryl Espanto) Gandia, uncle Bonifacio Gandia, and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
O‘ahu services are Monday, Feb. 17, at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel, with private family viewing at 4:30 p.m., visitation at 5 p.m. and memorial service at 6 p.m.
The family suggests aloha attire and welcomes lei, but requests flowers be omitted.
Kaua‘i services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 20, at the Lydgate Park main pavilion, with visitation at noon, celebration of life at 1 p.m., and fellowship to follow until 5 p.m.

Matsuyo Seki
Matsuyo Seki, 95, of Lihu‘e, passed away at the Regency of Puakea on Feb. 2, 2020. She was born on Kaua‘i on Jan. 4, 1925, and retired as a secretary from the administrative office of ILWU Local 142.
She was preceded in death by parents Matsuji and Kawayo Maeda, husband Hisashi Seki and eight siblings.
She is survived by sisters Myra Koide and Edith (Kenneth) Abe, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her celebration of life is Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Lihu‘e Hongwanji Mission, with visitation at 10 a.m. and services at 11 a.m. Inurnment will take place at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens at 2 p.m.
The family requests no koden (monetary gifts) or flowers.

Virginia R. Lopez
Virginia R. Lopez of Kalaheo passed away on Jan. 22, 2020, at the age of 89, at her home in Kalaheo.
Born on March 6, 1930, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by father Frank Rapozo, mother Jubina Lopez, husband Raymond Lopez, son Wayne Lopez and daughter Karen Suarez.
She is survived by daughters Lucille (Mark) Dotimas and Vicky Soares, and one grandchild.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Feb. 29, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo, with visitation at 8:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens in Lihu‘e.

Julia Ornellas Souza
Julia Ornellas Souza, 88, of Kapa‘a, passed away at home on Feb. 3, 2020. She was born in Kilauea on June 14, 1931, and was a dedicated homemaker.
She was preceded in death by husband Stanley Souza Sr., parents John and Marian Ornellas, sisters Mabel Ebinger, Regina Ventura and Mary Ornellas, brothers Albert Ornellas, Joaquin Ornellas, Johnny Ornellas, Joseph Ornellas and Patrick Ornellas.
She is survived by children Laurie Souza, Russell (Vernalyn) Souza, Stanley Jr. (Hollie) Souza, Paul (Adi) Souza and Jerry (Shaunne) Souza, grandchildren Kayla Souza, Rustan (Tracy Ogihara) Souza, Christy (Keola) Wong, Brittney (Tovi Boiser) Morrow, Bryson (Natalie) Morrow, Ryan (Mia Soderstrom) Morrow, Stanley William Souza III, Chelsea (Randy) Lawrence, Megan (Kristopher Jarquio) Souza, Taybree (Bryson Ancheta Suganuma) Souza and Ian Souza, great-grandchildren Leilanna Wong, Kailea Wong, Kaiwi Wong, Briana Morrow-Lopez, Tavyn Boiser, Brody Boiser, Baylee Boiser, Khairah Lawrence, Kyryn Lawrence, Isaiah Jarquio, Khloe Jarquio, Maya Jarquio, Kaeden Souza and Brysten Ancheta, sisters Theresa Martins, Pauline Fernandes, Catherine Ornellas BVM and Eva Hieronymus, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life is Saturday, Feb. 22, at St. Catherine Church, with visitation from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m.

Alton K. Muraoka
Alton K. Muraoka passed away on Feb. 10, 2020, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital, at the age of 52. He was born on Jan. 12, 1968, in Waimea, and was a concierge with Waiohai Hotel.
He is survived by daughter Mikayla Muraoka of Kapa‘a, parents Tommy and Irene Muraoka of ‘Ele‘ele, sister Renee Muraoka of Pearl City, O‘ahu, hanai son Treston Bautista of Kapa‘a, significant other Sharma Bautista of Kapa‘a, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services are Saturday, Feb. 22, at Garden Island Mortuary, with visitation from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and celebration of life at 5 p.m.
