Kaimana Mana Alquiza just moved his family back from Las Vegas (watch for him on the baseball and softball fields!) and got to have his ohana photographed with Informal Mickey (thats the name they gave me) and Informal Minnie during the Sunday run of the Gifts from the Heart pop-up at the Kukui Grove Center.

Kudos to Melissa McFerrin-Warrack, Jen Ortal of Hialoa Events (she does the Sheraton Kaua‘i, and the Poipu Shopping Village market, too), and Melony Theis of NegiKauai (everybody has some green onion – negi is the Japanese name – growing in a cup, window box, or something at home) on the great three-day event that had shoppers giving in to the temptation of checking inside the available space to see what was happening (and there was a lot because some of the vendors kept changing on each day).
Congratulations, too, to Tavia Rapozo who rose to the level of being a finalist in the first phase of the Boys &Girls Club Youth of the Year competition…she finds out where she’s at on March 1 during a luncheon at the Aulani resort on O‘ahu.
Okay, time to get ready for the opening of the Kaua‘i Quilt Show on Friday when Lea Ingram will be joined by other participating quilters (they’ve got more than 70 quilts ready to hang) at the Kaua‘i Society of Artists gallery.
Oh yeah, forgot that there will be a feather lei presentation, too as part of the Kaua‘i Ocean Fest. Check in at the Kaua‘i Ocean Discovery center.
