LIHUE Kauai Police have confirmed Kauai Councilmember Arthur Brun was the driver of a Hyundai involved in a Feb. 7 collision on Kapaa Bypass Road in the vicinity of mile marker 5.

What you failed to mention in your article was that Councilman Brun was ALREADY in trouble with the Kauai police for an incident in October where, after being pulled over, he took off, striking one of the officers. A grand jury indicted him for first degree assault and resisting an order to stop. Now he has a head-on collision with another car, injuring its occupants, AND is driving without insurance??!!
Arthur Brun ought to immediately resign his councilman position. And if he doesn’t, he should be removed by the Kauai County Council.
You would think a council member would have auto insurance and would have had license suspended after recent events. A lot of people once supported the self proclaimed recovering addict. We all hope he works to better himself but kauai voters got it dead wrong by voting this guy into office. Does he Attend council meeting or is he only collecting checks?

STILL, I am of the opinion there is some kind of setup going down and they tagged Brun to play in whatever sidestep role is Under the table. I don’t know facts at the moment. It could be conspiracy, but it is doubtful the way things run with our corrupt fraudulent voted-in peoples including mayor picture ops with military!

Is the Federal government paying people, perhaps, to dump their garbage, live in tents and yurts, and use the ground as a toilet? Have you seen it? Driving w/o insurance? And he’s STILL on the council after the car chase from the police a few months back. Seems like he’s going to be heading to KCCC soon. I wonder if the council will rid themselves of him then? Won’t make much difference to Brun’s ‘contributions’ since he rarely attended any meetings, and then only to back up his cronies on a vote.

He should resign or removed from office.

Do you really think that the County Council would get rid of one of their own, one of the “good ‘ole boys”. They may be afraid that if they took action and upset him he might reveal some questionable activities that have been occurring in the past. Otherwise why, given the circumstances, haven’t they taken action to remove him from office? If we can impeach a president surely we can remove a council member. Council members should be held accountable for their actions. They are supposed to represent us. This one obviously doesn’t.
