Kudos to fans of Kauai High School basketball player Easton Luis, who set up a media press box, ESTN, for Eastons senior night Tuesday (congratulations to Coach Ipo Yoshioka and his team on earning the Kauai Interscholastic Federation boys basketball title!) at the Kauai High gym.
Kudos to fans of Kaua‘i High School basketball player Easton Luis, who set up a media press box, ESTN, for Easton’s senior night Tuesday (congratulations to Coach Ipo Yoshioka and his team on earning the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation boys basketball title!) at the Kaua‘i High gym.
The scenario was so complete, they even had a “sportscaster” go over to interview some of the Kapa‘a High junior-varsity team that won the JV boys basketball title with an undefeated season, and Kapa‘a High Principal Tommy John Cox even wore red for the occasion.
Melissa McFerrin-Warrack said a special keiki-bazaar-type pop-up featuring vendors and make-it-and-take-it crafts for Valentine’s Day at kid-sized prices, will take place starting Friday, coinciding with the opening presentations of the Third annual Kaua‘i Ocean Fest Friday. Highlight activities include kid-priced bag tags and succulent potting station (no wonder Florence Toyofuku got one for Chinese New Year) on Friday, microterrarium charms with crystals and sea glass, Saturday, and Love Potion air fresheners and a Chocolate Sugar Scrub, a mini bouquet, and card on Sunday (yes, Brenda Turville is back).
