Ke Ala Hele Makalae coastal path
The path area is overgrown in many areas, making the path narrower for users (area near the Hotel Coral Reef, etc.). Many of the white fences and guardrails are damaged. The garbage cans are always overflowing and many of the beautifully painted metal trash cans are now rusted out, causing safety hazards. Can the county look toward improving the maintenance of this beautiful path? Please address the immediate remedies for the aforementioned concerns.
The Department of Parks and Recreation is reviewing policies and procedures to improve regular maintenance of the multi-use path. In addition, staff is reviewing major repairs that need to be addressed, including signage, fencing and trash receptacles.
Wailua Homesteads Park
There is tall grass growing around the utility post across from the entrance to Wailua Homesteads Park, blocking the view of oncoming traffic. Can the county please address this safety hazard?
The County of Kauai will address this issue.

;Bus stop on Rice street near Social Security building. It looks like the new design of Rice street has a new bus stop without enough room for bus pickup and traffic to continue,
maybe the stop is placed in wrong spot?
Is your son who maintains that portion of the bike path go ask him
Hey da shadow, how about getting substantive replies about these issues for once? We’ll ‘review’ and ‘address’ things is meaningless bureaucratic-speak with no commitment to do anything.
