LIHUE — With two more games remaining on the Kauai High School girls soccer calendar, the Red Raider ladies improved on its undefeated record with a 2-0 win over Waimea High School, Wednesday during the Kauai Interscholastic Federation soccer games at Vidinha Stadium.
“The Kauai High School girls are undefeated,” said Eric Napoleon, a Kauai High School parent who corrected an earlier story in TGI that stated the Kauai High School girls tied their Saturday matchup with Kapaa High School. “Eryka Napoleon did make a goal in the second half. The score was 0-0 at the half, and the Kauai High School girls won the match, 1-0.”
Eryka also scored one of the goals, Wednesday night, finding the net for the second Kauai girls’ score in the 56th minute.
The 0-0 halftime stalemate was broken by Tia Fulks in the 50th minute when she broke open along the left wing, outrunning the Menehune defender for the score.
A late-game scoring flurry settled the boys’ match, 2-1 in favor of Waimea.
