WAIMEA — Waimea Plantation Cottages, a 43-acre oceanfront property with 61-authentic plantation cottages that is operated by Coast Hotels, announces the appointment of Janice Ishihara as its new senior manager of sales and marketing.
In her new position, Ishihara will be responsible for growing sales and identifying markets for the cottages. In addition, she will uncover new revenue streams, maintain current accounts and programs and bring more exposure to Waimea Plantation Cottages. Ishihara will be based in Oahu.
Ishihara brings more than 20 years of experience in Hawaii hospitality including sales, marketing, reservations and operations to her new role at Waimea Plantation Cottages.
Her passion for hospitality has allowed her to work in hotels all over the Hawaiian Islands. Most recently, Ishihara held the role of account direc
tor of group sales for Kahala Hotel & Resort in Oahu. Prior to that, she was the director of sales at Kauai Beach Resort, managing sales, catering and reservations.
Ishihara is a graduate of Kapiolani Community College and has served on a number of tourism destination marketing boards on Oahu and Kauai.
Native to Honolulu, Ishihara loves exploring the outdoors by golfing, hiking and adventuring out in the ocean.
