LIHUE Christmas trees are accepted for recycling daily except on holidays at the green waste drop-off areas of the Hanapepe, Kapaa and Lihue refuse transfer stations from 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., and the Kekaha Landfill from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
LIHUE — Christmas trees are accepted for recycling daily except on holidays at the green waste drop-off areas of the Hanapepe, Kapaa and Lihue refuse transfer stations from 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., and the Kekaha Landfill from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A drop-off point for the trees is also at Kauai Nursery & Landscaping on Kaumualii Highway in Puhi seven days a week. Trees can be loaded on to the truck parked in the KNL driveway.
The trees must be bare and free of flocking, tinsel and ornaments when they are brought to the recycling locations.
Green waste sites are closed when weather is bad.
