‘Dimples’ has long been a treasure
Great seeing articles on Dimples Kano. Just want to add that she has done good things for people for more than her 20 years with Zonta. This is from firsthand experience.

Yes, Virignia, where is Santa Claus?
Aloha, The Garden Island readers. Does anyone know what happened to the big, jolly Santa figure that used to be in downtown Koloa by the candle shop? He did not appear this year and we miss him! Mahalo for your ko.kua.

Together, we can create a brighter world
Aloha! With the ongoing holiday season, the gift of giving is becoming widely seen. Although, some feel too busy with their lives that they forgot about helping one another.
Life throws many things at us, which causes us to forget about the little thing in life. But, ample time doesn’t have to be spent on giving back to the community. You can simply open the doors for each other or do little things that’ll have a lasting impact. For example, the man who just dropped off his donation to The Garden Island and left immediately shows that we can make time in our day to help out.
With all the violence and bad things happening within our community, we should this holiday come back together as a community. We can build our communities strong, where there’s endless support from one another. We can’t fight the fire with fire. We need to learn how to combat it together.
Let’s make this holiday season meaningful again by lending a helpful hand or being appreciative. Who knows, you can be the reason why someone’s day feels a little better. Let’s make everyone jolly again.
