Santa Claus could not stay away after seeing the Showtime Characters celebrated Disney princesses appear at his Santas House for the first-ever Princess Party Saturday at Kukui Grove Center. Well done, Mrs. Claus, who was busy preparing to dismantle the holiday masterpiece until the next appearance!

Well done, Mrs. Claus, who was busy preparing to dismantle the holiday masterpiece until the next appearance!
Rocky Pascua’s appearance only helped to transform the many princesses (yes, some were even dressed in their princess finery!) with her face-painting skills, and the Keiki Korner was the perfect venue for working off some of the excitement of seeing those celebrities (which one was working at the Kauai Community Market earlier in the morning?).
Kenny Ishii had his hands full helping Mayette Loseto (she was “super busy” so missed the Thursday Culture Market) with all those customers who bought out her supply of tamarinds, and kudos to Hans Zeevat (he’s Elvrine Chow’s brother) on doing such a great job with the kadomatsu (Terry Gordines even brought some to her tent to help market the New Year’s decoration) that Dr. Ed Lanson had to leave his puppy home and bring an empty carton to help carry the New Year’s presents.
Kudos to Jason Ebesu and Cat Riveros, who got wiped out of their homemade ramen (yes, he makes the noodles and miso, too!). They’ll be back this week with more, and Ferdinand Dosono of Kauai Kim Chee (he said he met a guy who can dehydrate the kim chee without losing any of the flavor!) had his new grilled marinated pork belly (we know what Bill Spitz is having for dinner) going strong — new food for the New Year!
