LIHUE — In observance of Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, County of Kauai offices along with all refuse transfer stations, the Kekaha Landfill, and Puhi Metals Recycling Center will be closed on Dec. 25, and Jan.1.
In addition, all of the neighborhood centers, the Kapaa swimming pool, and the Sunshine Market will be closed on both holidays.
All of the HI-5 bottle redemption centers will also be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
The schedule for residential refuse pick-up will remain unchanged.
The Kauai Bus will be ending service early on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, and operating on a modified schedule on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Normal business hours for county offices and services will resume on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.
