Jude is a student at St. Catherine School who participated in the first Holly Fair (kudos to coordinator Kristen Simczak on a great event!) that offered some unique holiday gifts … ever see Christmas trees created from driftwood (Waimea Canyon Middle School students do that, too!)? The school’s eighth-grade class offered ono chili and hot dogs lunches (principal David Adams — he’s from Canada, Bev Brody! — had to support!) as a fundraiser to help with their graduation.
Santa went local-style with his zori when taking photos with Santa, and Nancy Williams didn’t have her Rudolph red nose at her table offering photos done on canvas … gotta check out that hypnotic albatross and ethereal floral pieces … only works on canvas!
Kudos to Russell Haluapo and all those motorcycle riders (Ellsworth Fontes came all the way from Hilo!) who came up with a station wagon of toys for The Friends of the Children’s Justice Center, Kauai who will be celebrating its annual Christmas party today!
OK, time to go check out more Kauai Interscholastic Federation soccer … Waimea High School boys soccer coach Kapono Chong said the team will host a rememberance for Coach Mark Kennett just before their Saturday home game at Hanapepe Stadium around 1:45 p.m. Saturday.
