Godofredo Partible Nerida
Godofredo Partible Nerida passed away on Oct. 27, 2019.
He was born on Jan. 14, 1947, and worked for Kauai Nursery &Landscaping.
He was preceded in death by parents Victorio Nerida and Elena Nerida and sisters Maria P. Nerida and Theresa P. Nerida.
He is survived by son Alfred Nerida, stepsons Samuel Negrillo and Randy Negrillo of Lihue, stepdaughter Julie Pearl Embernate of Lihue, brothers Jose P. (Sopet) Nerida of the Philippines, Benjamin P. (Claring) Nerida of California, Roldolfo P. (Maria) Nerida of the Philippines and Felix P. (Flory) Nerida, sisters Zemaida P. (Lindo) Nerida and Erlinda P. (Reynato) Nerida, all of the Philippines, and cousins Adelina (Ricardo) Navor and Soledad (Ben) Negrillo, all of Kauai, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Immaculate Conception Church, with visitation from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m.
The family suggests casual attire.
Florentina ‘Tina’ Dugay Acob
Florentina “Tina” Dugay Acob, 74, of Kilauea, passed away at home on Oct. 21, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Nov. 16, 1944, in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, and was a retired housekeeper at The Cliffs at Princeville.
She was preceded in death by husband Pedro Acob, parents Tomas and Cecilia Dugay, brothers Rizalino Dugay, Pedro Dugay and Alejandro Dugay, and sister Maria Dugay Baxa.
She is survived by daughters Catherine “Kehau” (Rodney Woodward) Acob, Michelle (Joshua) Acob-Apana and Jacqueline (Jose) Lopez, sons Edward (Maria) Acob and John-Pierre (Sonrisa Stepath) Acob all of Kauai, aunt Isabel Luluquisen of California, sisters Salvacion Bolo and Jesusa Cadelinia, both of the Philippines, and Bernarda Dugay, Nenita Bergonia and Ardelina Constantino, all of Kauai, brother Emil (Lilia) Dugay of California, grandchildren Rachel “Momo” (Elele) DeMello, Kawaiolu Apana, Makaio Apana, Luis Lopez, Graciela Lopez, Cecilia Acob, Alexander Acob, Mark Martinez and CJ Martinez, and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Nov. 16, at St. Sylvester Church in Kilauea, where visitation begins at 8:30 a.m. and Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at the Kilauea Japanese Cemetery.

Merla Ann Nalani Ka‘aumoana
Merla Ann Nalani Ka‘aumoana passed away in Waimea on Oct. 14, 2019, at the age of 59. She was born on May 20, 1960, in Lihue.
She was preceded in death by parents David Kaheleiki Ka‘aumoana and Ardith Waialoha Ka‘aumoana, and sisters Linda Puanani Ka‘aumoana-Texeira and Cindy Keala Ka‘aumoana-Pa.
She is survived by sons Joshua (Ashton) Ka‘aumoana of Oahu, David (Deanna) Manu-Ka‘aumoana of Kauai, daughters Saraleigh (Howard M. Toki III) Toki of Kauai, Nicole (Kainalu) Langi-Ka‘aumoana of Kauai, Fa’afofoga (Shaun) Ta’ala of Kauai, 10 granddaughters and two grandsons, sisters Doreen Haunani (Bula) Soares of Kauai and Tammy Leilani (Ronald) Contrades of Kauai, and by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services are Saturday, Nov. 16, at Garden Island Mortuary, with visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. and a celebration of life at 11 a.m.
The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Mark A. Kennett Sr.
Mark A. Kennett Sr. passed away in Kaumakani on Nov. 2, 2019, at the age of 57. He was born on Aug. 16, 1962, in Liverpool, England. He was a veteran with the U.S. Air Force. He was a senior lab technician at Corteva, field manager at Dow Argrosciences, and harvesting supervisor at Gay &Robinson.
He is survived by wife Corianne Kennett, son Mark Kennett Jr. of Washington, daughters Margot (Matthew) Mahoney of Washington, Francesca McKaskle of Las Vegas and April Burnett of Las Vegas, grandchildren Damien, Mollie-Irene, Charlie, Lucy, Lucas and Ezra, parents E. Alan Kennett and Irene Kennett of Washington, brother Craig (Shari) Kennett of Oregon, sister Samantha (Grant) Eggleston of Oregon, and the Kaumakani Sunset Crew and Bonus Kids.
A potluck gathering will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 430 Kaumakani Avenue any time after 4 p.m.
