Crash closes part of Koloa Road

KOLOA — A three-car crash caused the partial closure of Koloa Road on Saturday afternoon.

According to police, shortly before 2:20 p.m. a northbound vehicle on Koloa Road crossed the center line and struck an oncoming vehicle. The northbound vehicle then struck a second oncoming vehicle, causing the second vehicle to lose control and crash into an embankment along the southbound shoulder of the road, a county press release said.

The driver of the second southbound vehicle was transported to Wilcox Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries to his leg. All other vehicle occupants refused treatment at the scene or reported no injuries.

Koloa Road, between Omao Road and Mana Hema Road, was closed for an hour.
