Kauai’s Ray Catania will speak Tuesday at 5:45 p.m. about his life as a social justice activist during “Labor History Night” at Kauai Community College.
The program includes the screening of “Kokua Hawaii: The Beginning of the Revolutionary Movement in Contemporary Hawaii.” The film traces Catania’s experiences protesting the Kalama Valley evictions of 1971 on Oahu.
Presented by KCC’s History Club, the program is at the Office of Continuing Education and Training building, room 106. Dinner will be provided.
