The Jack Harter Helicopters ohana assisted the Kauai Chapter of Surfrider Foundation this week in removing 55 super sacks of marine debris from remote stretches of Kauai’s eastern shoreline.
Volunteers from Surfrider Foundation collected debris from the shoreline and got everything ready for the Jack Harter Helicopters’ crew to move the collected beach debris with one of its MD500 helicopters.
The super sacks of plastics, tires and other beach trash were carried under the helicopter as external loads to a location where they could be loaded onto trucks for recycling and disposal.
“Jack Harter Helicopters is committed to continuing the donation of helicopter flight time to assist the amazing work done by the Kauai Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation,” said a press release.
