Wailua sewage treatment plants
Please provide an update on the county’s efforts to address the bad odor emanating from the county’s wastewater treatment plants near Lydgate Park and the entrance to Wailua Houselots.
The county has installed odor-control units at numerous sewer manholes in the area of Coco Palms Sewage Pump Station (Kuhio Highway and Haleilio Road) and the Wailua Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The county is continuing to monitor the effectiveness of these units before purchasing more.

Aloha Jerome,
Try suggesting to the County to install TMT Air Vents for the “bad air” to escape into the atmosphere higher up effecting less people.
Apparently a Thirty Meter Telescoping Air Vent has been used in other places. Why Telescoping? So it can be lowered for safety during a Hurricane.
Jerome the reason they don’t park the Bus far from LIHUE is the concern over the busses becoming homeless camps at night.
