KAPAA — Kauai police on Tuesday arrested eight individuals and served 12 warrants during an operation aimed at locating defendants wanted by the court.
“This one-day operation was led by our Lihue and Hanalei officers of the Patrol Service Bureau to locate people in the Kapaa and Anahola areas wanted on outstanding warrants,” said Kauai Police Department Chief Todd Raybuck.
“The Kauai Police Department continues its commitment to hold those responsible for breaking the law, and I thank our officers for their successful efforts. We urge all individuals wanted on outstanding warrants to turn themselves in or request assistance through the court to have their case placed on calendar and have the warrant quashed to avoid arrest.”
The following eight individuals were arrested on multiple warrants for a combined total of $36,850 in bail:
• Stephen Edward Adams, 36, Kapaa, warrant for violating conditions of release on bail, totaling $20,000 in bail;
• Akauola Tea, 37, Kapaa, warrant for revocation or modification of probation conditions, $5,000 bail;
• Thomas-James Sanico, 47, Anahola, warrants for promoting a dangerous drug in the third degree and criminal contempt of court, $3,500 bail;

• Steve Monas, 45, Kapaa, warrant for sex assault in the fourth degree, $500 bail.
Sexual assault is a serious offense and should have a higher bail amount. He may not flee but if you let him out he will assault again. Is that ok with you Kauai?
Why does it take a special operation to round up those with outstanding warrants? Shouldn’t the detectives be handling that on a routine basis?
No matter what KPD, P.A. and judiciary connections do or say, when there is no jurisdiction, there might be a problem getting people into any courthouse! Besides which, if you do enter a courtroom, you may experience violence even if you have not been arrested and was sitting quietly! Fake news said otherwise, and all video, interview witness documents went under the stuffed P.A. rug!
These men all had potential to be something better. How sad.

If their parents raised them in bad homes, it is society’s loss.
How so you know how their parents raised them?
Steve Monas is running for Hawaii State House.
This guy is bad news. Is Sexual assault, deception and false advertising are pre requisite for being a senator these days?? claimed to have multiple taxi companies and only had one taxi so as to mislead the general public and screw the hard working locals with his claims to be a internet wiz. Pilau, might just make a good political figure.
Raise up a child in the way they should go and when he is old he will not depart from it!
I read that in some book!
