Dora Leilani Cobb-Adams
Dora Leilani Cobb-Adams passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on Sept. 9, 2019, at the age of 68. She was born Aug. 13, 1951, in Oakland, California. She was a Realtor, legislative manager and professional hula dancer.
She was preceded in death by husband Henry Cobb-Adams, mother Dora Keapo Kahaunaele Swain, and grandson Morgan Vice.
She is survived by sons Shane Cobb-Adams and Erin (Pua) Cobb-Adams, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters Capt. Lani Swain of Catamaran Kahanu, of Hanapepe, Enolo Jo Kawelo of Honolulu, Mervlyn Kitashima of Pearl City, Billy T.K. Swain of Wailua, Philip J.K. Swain of Colorado, Anna Marie K. Velasco of Anahola, Raymond Salazar of Koloa, and by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Friday, Sept. 20, at Anahola River house, 4271-E Kamane Rd. Visitation with family is from 4 to 5 p.m., and a celebration of life will begin at 5 p.m.
The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers.
Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ricardo ‘Papa’ Martinez Ruaboro
Ricardo “Papa” Martinez Ruaboro, 84, of Puhi, passed away on Aug. 20, 2019. He was born in Kilauea on Feb. 7, 1935, and retired from Lihue Plantation as a laborer.
He was preceded in death by parents Victorio and Salome Ruaboro, son Carmelo Ruaboro, and brothers Jenciano Ruaboro and Javis Ruaboro.
He is survived by wife Dionisia Ruaboro, children Winnie (Cely) Ruaboro, Alex (Imelda) Ruaboro, Agusto (Aida) Ruaboro, Carmelita (Almie) Ruaboro, Maddi (Brian) Valdez and Derrick (Stacey) Ruaboro, 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, siblings Carmen (Jaime) Jimenez, Van (Amelia) Ruaboro and Feliciano (Pilar) Ruaboro, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, at Immaculate Conception Church, with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
