Anna Baudouin is planning on getting over to PhotoCon (didnt Todd Fuerte go last year?). Anna is on the short list of The Essence of People in Hawaii contest and has to wait until Friday when the winners are named. She said her choice of speakers is on the last day in the last workshop when Jon Lorentz does sports photography.

There are also photo walks over the three days, and Kauai can get involved in its own photo walk when Jack Hodges (yes, the pickle ball ambassador!) hosts this year’s Scott Kelby PhotoWalk on Oct. 5 starting at 8:30 a.m. at Kukuiolono Park in Kalaheo (Anna said she’s never been there, photographically!). But you do have to register for this free event.
In the meantime, the Kauai Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours is sold out for the Ruth’s Chris Steak House at The Shops at Kukuiula, but there are still slots open for the chamber’s membership meeting coming up Sept. 19 at the Kauai Beach Resort.
Kelvin Moniz said there are still seats available for the Kauai Independent Food Bank’s silver birthday bash where the Zonta Club of Kauai will be helping with some of the chores at the party that will take place on Sept. 13 (football is at Hanapepe Stadium?) at the Kauai Veterans Center.
Finally, Melissa McFerrin Warrack said Kauai High School homecoming committee will present the Red Raiders Homecoming Parade Saturday starting at 5 p.m. at Kukui Grove Center.
