WAILUA — Fernando Guillermo fired a 4-under par 68 to take the A flight of the Kauai Seniors Golf Club tournament that was contested Aug. 13 at the Wailua Golf Course.
Runner up position went to Chester Alfiler who topped a field of four golfers tied at 2-under 70 in the A Flight. Alan Tada (70) filled in the third position followed by Ed Larue (70), Milton Burgess (70), Steve Crago (72), Ron Rehrig (72), Leo Bunao (72), Larry Marugame (72), and Hawk Kawaihalau (72).
Tommy Tokuda, firing a 2-under 70, topped the B Flight, a stoke better than a two-way tie of 71. Donald Nitta (71) filled in the second spot followed by Mackey Doi (71) getting third place.
Four golfers finished tied at even 72 in the B Flight, getting fourth through seventh places. Brenda Honda (72) filled in the fourth berth followed by Mike Serizawa (72), John Worthwein (72), and Stella Bumacod (72).
Bill Parker (73), Mel Mandrigues (73), and Gene Matsuda (74) rounded out the B Flight leaderboard.
Wil Shima cranked out a 3-under 69 to take the C Flight over Milton Ozaki who finished with a 1-under 71. Linda Uohara (75), Les Hashimoto (75), Sandy Quinsaat (75), Grace Tanaka (76), Ron CChittenden (77), Bernice Hiraoka (77), Brad Imano (78), and Cres Babila (78) filled out the C Flight leaderboard.
