Visitor pulled from water dies
A man pulled from the waters at Anini Beach on Wednesday has died from his injuries.
Police identified the man as Omer Tekin, 29, of California. An autopsy is pending.
According to witness reports, the man was snorkeling when he was seen unresponsive in the water. Witnesses brought him to shore and began administering CPR. Lifeguards from the Wanini Roving Patrol Unit continued resuscitation efforts, according to a county press release.
While in transport to Wilcox Medical Center, firefighters and American Medical Response medics continued advanced life support, and Tekin regained a pulse. He was in critical condition Thursday.
What cased. “Injuries “ ? Where there big waves? Sharks? What?
what kind of injuries please give information
I suspect he’s one of the people who have passed out when using “full face” snorkel masks. These have too much airspace for an effective fresh air exchange. This can cause CO2 build-up, which can lead to unconsciousness – a dangerous condition when face down in water. I’d expect the first responders could verify what kind of mask he was using, and I’d really like to know.
He was drowned and passed away unfortunately 🙁
Allah rahmetiyle muamele etsin.
