LIHUE — The Kauai Hongwanji Council Buddhist Study Center Summer Session Satellite Seminar will present “Jodo Shinshu Everyday Life,” from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Lihue Hongwanji Mission.
The public is invited to hear the Rev. Kiyonobu Joshin Kuwahara speak. There is a suggested donation of $10.
Kuwahara has been supervising minister at the Berkeley Buddhist Temple in California since 2018.
He was born in Kure City, Hiroshima, Japan, the eldest son of a temple family, and attended Hiroshima University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in English education in 1997. He completed his master’s degree at Ryukoku University and earned a doctorate in Jodo Shinshu Buddhism.
