Regina Cabico Torres
Regina Cabico Torres, 80, passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on July 24, 2019.
She was born on Sept. 17, 1938 in Dasay, Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, and retired from the Kauai Hilton Hotels & Resorts as a housekeeper.
She was preceded in death by parents Severo and Hilaria Cabico, her husband Fausto Sambajon Torres and infant son Francis Torres.
She is survived by children Sonny Torres of the Philippines, Juanita (Richard) Agaran of Kapaa, Boni (Cathy) Torres of the Philippines, Clarence (Melba) Torres of Eleele, Anabel (Rhod) Giron of Lanai City and Robert Torres of Kapaa, siblings Cresencia Garces of Kealia and Carol (Elpidio) Nono of Kapaa, 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 31, at St. Catherine Church, with visitation at 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery.
Borthwick Kauai Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Darrell Gene Amorin
Darrell Gene Amorin, 60, went home to be with the Lord on June 7, 2019.
He was born July 15, 1958 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital in Lihue and was a painter for many years.
He was preceded in death by parents Frank and Maria Amorin.
He is survived by children Emerson (Amber) Amorin, Jennifer (Keola) Amorin and Lea Amorin, sisters Priscilla (Osang) Miguel and Carol (Ron) Dias, brother Harold Amorin, and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24, at Kauai Veterans Center in Lihue. Visitation is from 8:30 a.m. and services celebrated at 10 a.m. The family suggests casual attire.
Sharon Mae Santiago
Sharon Mae Santiago passed away in Lihue on July 28, 2019, at the age of 59. She was born on Jan. 5, 1960, in Lihue, Kauai, and had been doing voluntary community outreach and other church activities.
She was preceded in death by father Angel Santiago Sr., mother Margaret (Richard) Gomes, and sister Dora Anna (Dubo) Hirokane.
She is survived by sons Shaun-Casey (Krystal) Banasihan and Christian (Faye) Santiago-Ader, daughters Sharae (Hayward) Halog and Shaun-Tae (Naumu) Santiago, brothers Angel (Lorita) Santiago Jr., Ronald (Irvette) Santiago and Chico Santiago, sister Matilda (George) Inouye, six grandsons, five granddaughters, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial will take place Saturday, Sept. 21, at 9 a.m. at Kekaha Public Cemetery,with a celebration of life to follow at Waimea Neighborhood Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers.
Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Diane Nobuko Uyeno, 91, of Lihue, passed away at Queen’s Medical Center on July 22, 2019.
She was preceded in death by daughter Cheryl.
She is survived by husband John Uyeno.
Private services were held.

She was preceded in death by parents Jacob and Mary Hall, son Jerome Cox Jr., and siblings Arlington and Donald Hall and Judi Wootton.
She is survived by children PattiJean (Frank) Estaniqui, Lorrianne (Jay) Marciel, DonnaLee (Kirk) Smith and Randall (Jessica) Hanie, 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, brothers Phillip (Geraldine) Hall and Wayne (MaryAnn) Hall, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held Saturday, Aug. 17, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., followed by prayer service and song at 8:30 p.m. at the family home at 4302 Victoria Ave. in Bellevue, Washington.
